Day 1 - Overnight Flight
Today board your overnight flight to experience the Treasures of Ireland.
Day 2 - Arrive Dublin - Belfast Sightseeing†
Arrive in Dublin and meet your Tour Director. Board your motorcoach and travel to Belfast, the capital of and largest city in Northern Ireland. Enjoy a Belfast City Tour to learn about the history & struggles of the city as you drive through its districts and neighborhoods. Later check into your hotel for a two-night stay. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers. (D)
Day 3 - Giants Causeway - Titanic Belfast
Today travel to the Giants Causeway, often described as the Eighth Wonder of the World and declared Ireland’s first World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1986. Shortly after arrival, you will see why it has become one of Ireland’s top tourist attractions. Later visit Titanic Belfast, a museum on the site of the former Harland & Wolfe Shipyard where the Titanic was built and launched in 1912. Enjoy the evening at leisure in Belfast. (B)
Day 4 - Belfast - Glendalough - Limerick
This morning depart Belfast and travel to Glendalough to see the ruins of St. Kevin’s monastic site, a center of Irish Celtic Christianity. The area is also famous for its scenic vistas of the Wicklow Mountains. Continue onto Limerick for a two-night stay. Enjoy a Limerick City Tour to see the attractive St. Mary’s Cathedral, King John’s Castle and the Treaty Stone. Tonight is at leisure to enjoy dinner on your own. (B)
Day 5 - Limerick - Cliffs of Moher - Galway
Today travel to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. View the mighty Atlantic and the beautiful Aran Islands from atop cliffs that reach nearly 700 feet into the air. Travel through the Burren, an area known for limestone natural beauty. Later enjoy a Galway City Tour featuring St. Nicholas Cathedral & Eyre Square. Galway, “The City of Tribes” is a vibrant city with a great seafaring tradition. Tonight experience a Medieval Banquet featuring delicious food and traditional entertainment. (B,D)
Day 6 - Limerick - Adare - Killarney
This morning stop in Adare, renowned as Ireland’s prettiest village. Next visit the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, housed in the original terminal building in Foynes and said to be the birthplace of “Irish” Coffee. The port of Foynes was the fulcrum point for air traffic between the U.S. and Europe in the early 1940’s. Later arrive in the charming & picturesque town of Killarney for a two night stay. Upon arrival embark on a Jaunting
car ride into the Killarney National Park. The horse drawn Jaunting Car experience ends at the Muckross House & Garden, a 19th century Victorian mansion on the shores of Muckross Lake. Take some pictures of the house and grounds before the short motorcoach ride back to your hotel. Tonight join your fellow travelers for dinner. (B,D)
Day 7 - Killarney - Ring of Kerry - Killarney
Today travel along one of the most gorgeous coastal routes in the world - the Ring of Kerry. Focus your cameras on the majestic seascapes, mountains speckled with brightly colored farm houses and winding lanes bordered with luscious vegetation. Pass through the rugged mountains and stop at Ladies View for wonderful vistas of the Lakes of Killarney. (B)
Day 8 - Killarney - Blarney - Dublin
This morning travel through the mountains of West Cork and arrive at the historic Blarney Castle. Will you dare to kiss the famous Blarney Stone, rumored to bestow eloquence upon those who kiss its surface? Visit the Blarney Woolen Mills to wander the enticing displays of Irish crafts. Later stop to see the Rock of Cashel, a group of Medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone. Later arrive in Dublin for a two-night stay. (B)
Day 9 - Dublin
Today enjoy a Dublin City Tour to see Grafton Street, statue lined O’Connell Street, the General Post Office & Phoenix Park. Visit the famous Christchurch Cathedral & stop at Trinity College to see the 1,200-year-old Book of Kells. Later tour the Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery featuring a recreated distillery scene and a generous sample of the famous Irish Whiskey. Tonight join your fellow travelers for a fun filled Farewell Dinner. (B,D)
Day 10 - Dublin - Flight Home†
Fly home filled with wonderful memories of your Treasures of Ireland Tour. (D)
