Day 6 - DELPHI - KALAMBAKA

Today enjoy an Athens City Tour featuring Syntagma Square, the Parliament, the Presiden al Palace, Hadrian’s Arch, Temple of Zeus and the Ancient Olympic Stadium. Today’s highlight will surely be a visit to the Acropolis with its incredible Parthenon, the most important site of the city and one of the most recognizable monuments in the world. Later con nue to the Plaka, the oldest part of the city to enjoy free  me for lunch and shopping. Tonight enjoy a special Greek Taverna Farewell Dinner featuring tradi onal food & entertainment. A er dinner discover Athens By Night featuring an illuminated Acropolis & Parthenon.
   This morning travel towards Kalambaka. Enjoy a guided visit to two Meteora Monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The monasteries are built on spectacular natural sandstone rock pillars and although it is unknown when Meteora was established, hermit monks were believed to be living among the caves and cutouts in the rocks as early as the 11th century. Overnight in nearby Kalambaka and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Today travel south to Athens. En route stop
in Thermopylae to admire the Monument to King Leonidas & the 300 Spartans, celebra ng the ba le of Thermopylae from 480 B.C. Con nue to Athens for a two night stay and enjoy the evening at leisure to explore, shop or dine at a local cafe. (B)
