    Day 4 - LANCASTER - GETTYSBURG - HARPERS FERRY - SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK
This morning visit the somber grounds of Ge ysburg Na onal Military Park, site of one of the bloodiest ba les of the Civil War. Today, follow the same route as Lee’s army during
its invasion of Pennsylvania. In West Virginia, visit Harpers Ferry Na onal Historic Park, where John Brown and his “army of libera on” staged their fateful raid on a U.S. Arsenal. Con nue onto visit Shenandoah Na onal Park, the scenic mountain haven of the Mid-Atlan c featuring wetlands, waterfalls, rocky peaks, many bird species, deer and the elusive black bear. Travel on the park’s famous Skyline Drive which follows along the scenic crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains. (B,D)
Day 5 - MONTICELLO - WILLIAMSBURG
This morning visit Mon cello, the mountaintop home of the third President
of the US, Thomas Je erson. Explore the mansion, gardens, and planta on designed by Je erson himself. Next drive to Richmond to see Virginia’s capital and once the capital of the Confederacy. See St. John’s Church,
the site of Patrick Henry’s “Give me liberty
or give me death!” speech. Later arrive in Williamsburg for a two night stay to explore incredible Colonial highlights. (B)
Day 6 - JAMESTOWN - WILLIAMSBURG
Today a short ride brings you to Jamestown, founded in 1607 as the  rst permanent English se lement in the New World. Visit
the restored full-scale Jamestown Se lement. Later visit Virginia’s largest historical a rac on, Colonial Williamsburg, a 173-acre living history museum. Start at the Visitor’s Center then head out at your own pace to explore the
88 restored and reconstructed 18th century buildings. Mingle with costumed townspeople and witness cra smen demonstra ons. Tonight enjoy a tradi onal Tavern Colonial Dinner with your fellow travelers. (B,D)
Day 7 - MOUNT VERNON -
WASHINGTON DC
Enjoy breakfast then travel to Mount Vernon, President George Washington’s beau ful estate overlooking the Potomac River. The “Father of Our Country” called Mt. Vernon home for more than 45 years. Later arrive in Washington DC for a 3-night stay. This evening enjoy a DC Twilight Illumina on Tour of the famous monuments including those dedicated to Lincoln & Je erson. (B)
